Malcolm McLaren, the former manager of the Sex Pistols and impresario, died On April 8, 2010 from cancer, aged 64. Best-known as the manager of the punk band the Sex Pistols, he achieved the notoriety he sought – and which never left him. McLaren went on to have successes with Adam and the Ants and Bow Wow Wow before ditching the bands entirely and becoming the true talent behind his own hip-hop- and opera-inspired pop tunes throughout the 1980s and '90s.
