Relative Connection: Peter Godwin. On this show DJ Wave treats the listeners to a vast selection of music including some rare songs from this talented artist. Click on the arrow to listen.

Peter Godwin is a musician, singer, songwriter and producer who was part of the band, Metro, as well as a solo artist. His work includes "Criminal World" which was covered by David Bowie and his 1982’s “Images of Heaven” was a cult favorite on new wave radio stations and the dance remix of his song “Baby’s in the Mountains” was a big dance hit in clubs.

His solo album, Correspondence was issued by Polydor Records in 1983.

In 1998, a number of his songs from his time with the band Metro, his early 1980’s solo work, and a couple of new songs were released on the CD “Images of Heaven: The Best of Peter Godwin” released on Oglio Records.

He wrote lyrics with a "spiritual bent" for Steve Winwood’s 2008 album Nine Lives. The song “Dirty City” which he co-wrote is also on “Revolutions: The Very Best Of Steve Winwood"  and it just entered the UK Album Chart at #18

In 2009 Peter’s new band Nuevo released “Sunset Rise” Absolutely brilliant CD, take a listen and you will fall in love with Nuevo. Peter just returned from Bali filming the video for the single “Chocolate”.

In 1982 Peter Godwin released his biggest hit “Images of Heaven” which was promoted with two different video versions of the song. The provocative version of the video showed nude women poses kissing and touching each other. Enjoy the polaroids, the silhouettes and images of heaven
